Medium-sized tree, 20-25 m high. Leaves simple, opposite, elliptic or obovate-oblong, 2.5-3.5 cm wide, 4-6 cm long. Inflorescence in upper axillary raceme, 4-6-flowered; corolla white; stamens yellow, numerous, fragrant. Fruit fleshy, globose, pulpy.
Flower, an ingredient in Ya-hom, formula for fainting; heart tonic. Fixed oil from seed: topically apply to relieve muscular pain, joint pain, sprains and swelling.
