Tree, 10-20 m high; young twigs dark-colored tomentose. Leaf simple, alternate, broadly ovate-oblong; upper surface pubescent, 8.5-12 cm wide, 9-15 cm long. Flowers in axillary cluster; corolla light green, fragrant. Fruits aggregate, each oblong.
Wood: topically used for skin diseases, such as ringworm, tinea versicolor, leprosy, allergic dermatitis with watery and pussy discharge; scrape to scaly pieces, mix with tobacco, smoke as a cigarrette to treat infectious rhinitis with pus. Leaf. treatment of chronic wounds. Wood, roof or whole plant: antipyretic.
