Shrub, white-stellate-hairy, about 2 m high. Leaf sample, alternate, ovate or elliptic, 3-8 cm wide, 6-15
cm long; lower surface densely white-pubescent and floccose-stellate-hairy. Inflorescence in axillary clus-ttr, unisexual, monoecious, apetalous. Fruit schizocarp, 3-lobed, white-wooly.
Root: carminative, antiflatulent; relieves
stomach pain; crush with lime water or mix with
assa-foetida or camphor, apply to child's abdomen to relieve flatulence. Whole plant: decoction or powder or macerate in 28-40% alcohol as antiflatulent, autidiarrheal. Root: decoction; element tonic, heart tonic, appetizer.
